Synth Panels is run by Doug Wellington. After six years in the US Air Force, Doug worked in Santa Barbara, CA as a machinist before moving to Tucson, AZ and starting his computer system administration career. Missing the tangibility of working with his hands, Doug put together a shop where he does woodworking, stained glass, painting, silkscreening and metal work. Doug has also had a long term interest in electronics, starting with HeathKits in the 70's, hotrodding tube amps in the 90's and building analog synthesizers in the 00's.

Doug co-founded the Different Skies music festival and is proud to say he used to be a DJ on Tucson's community radio station, 91.3 KXCI. When he's not programming computers and microcontrollers or working in the metal or woodworking shop, he plays bass, didgeridoo, percussion and synthesizer.
